The new energy-efficient appliances introduce a contemporary, industrial aesthetic and strong horizontal orientation that complements the oak millwork’s luxurious graining and rich, dark colour.  The floor-to-ceiling cabinetry
reclaims the previously wasted upper-level storage and accentuates the new cosmopolitan design.

Our Design-concept in this home renovation is driven by need to increase storage, enhance the overall functionality of a compact apartment, and create an open and contemporary environment while still honouring the preference for the gracious simplicity of Japanese aesthetics. Cooking and entertaining is put forward here as a lifestyle priority.

Kitchen Retreat

On top of its contemporary aesthetic, this kitchen renovation is the result of a cautiously thought process, privileging energy efficiency and original material recycling: new energy appliances including wall oven and built-in microwave/convection oven, programmable thermostat to save energy and add comfort and piece of mind, flexible double-drawer dishwasher with energy and water savers, heated tile floor, and original cabinetry, appliances, and counters recycled to basement suite.
