Unique Attributes

Pure luxury and big-time, bang-for-your-buck features inspired this dramatic transformation. Tired, bland finishings and inefficient floor plan (fridge was inaccessible from main, U-shaped work area), is now a sexy, über-modern masterpiece – open, connected, functional.

Contemporary horizontal-grain cabinetry is sleek and richly textured. After painstaking sourcing and patience negotiating, it was also purchased at 75% discount as a discontinued product. Savings allowed budgetary flexibility for extra perks including high-end gas cook top, slide-in convection wall oven/microwave, and designer pedant lighting.

Recently acquired, EnergyStar fridge retained and relocated to opposite wall, now framed by two of six new, full-height pantries. Cost-effective trim-kit package creates illusion of custom built-in. Other appliances updated to match.

Functionality and Utility of Floor Plan

Black-glass backsplash is low-maintenance, kid-proof, and a perfect complement to midnight-shadow granite countertops. Full-height stainless steel panel used above the cooktop complements urban-industrial ambiance.

Meticulously aligned pot lights create rhythmic, textural highlights on cabinetry. Combined with under-cabinet lighting, chefs now enjoy diverse lighting options ranging from casual to more serious culinary adventures.

Slate flooring with radiant heating adds visual splendor and energy-efficient comfort in cooler seasons.

Creative Use of Space

Wall separating kitchen and dining-room removed. Extra-wide, granite counter/eating bar ideally suited to client’s causal entertaining style. Bonus: relocating dishwasher provides easy access from kitchen or when passing plates across counter from dining-room, while waterfall finish on open end gives additional contemporary sophistication.

Narrow, sliding door to patio replaced by exquisite double French doors inviting exploration to the patio beyond and simplifying al fresco dining.

We love the way our kitchen turned out. Everything you touched is finished perfectly. Your team of people really know what they are doing. Eduardo is amazing and knows all the things to look out for when designing a kitchen that is functional and beautiful. Thanks for everything. We will be calling in the future for more improvements.
